Two Boots East Village
42 Avenue A
New York, NY 10009
Two Boots, named for the geographical shapes of Italy and Louisiana, was born on June 24th, 1987. Founders Doris Kornish and Phil Hartman, indie filmmakers who loved Cajun food and culture (Phil having opened the Great Jones Café, a Cajun juke joint, in 1983), teamed up with local developer John Touhey, to create the original Two Boots Restaurant, a family-friendly, full-service restaurant. Through the years, Two Boots has grown with locations all across the country, served pizza at festivals like Summerstage and Gathering of the Vibes, in places from Prospect Park to Citi Field, and had ancillary businesses including The Pioneer Theater, Two Boots Video and the Den of Cin. Wherever we go, we bring our unique cornmeal crust pizza, funky folk art, and a deep commitment to the community. Pizza is a universal language, transcending geographic and demographic boundaries of every kind. We look forward to sharing a pie with you soon too!
