We come from a long line of shoe makers and cobblers. Our founder and CEO, Alex, opened his first shoe repair in 1997 with his father Simon, whose father and brother were cobblers as well, one block up from our current location. They worked in the shop together for 9 years, opening up 6 days a week to serve the East Village community. In 2006, Alex was presented with the opportunity to open a larger storefront, which has become our home away from home for over a decade. We pride ourselves in our quality of work as we make sure each repair is inspected before completion, and are certain that if Alex’s grandfather and uncle could see what we do, they would be proud too.
