Grillify-NYC, a burger bar joint in the East Village known for serving some of the best burgers, brought to you by Luis Cuautle. From humble beginnings as a porter to becoming the Head Chef at Pebble Bar, my culinary journey has been driven by a passion for creativity and art in food. I learned invaluable techniques at Rue 57, a French-American Bistro, before discovering my passion for fusion cuisine at Mifune, where I had the privilege of working alongside Michelin-trained chefs Tomohiro Urata and Yuu Shimano. Their mentorship reshaped my perspective on cooking, igniting my desire to blend flavors and cultures in innovative ways. Although the pandemic brought challenges, I continued to grow in high-end restaurants, ultimately stepping into the role of Executive Sous Chef at Pebble Bar under the guidance of Chef Carlos Barrera. Following his departure, I was honored to step up as the Head Chef, leading our back-of-house team to create memorable dining experiences.
