There was a time in the 1990’s when two men searched for the bagels that they had tasted in their Grandmother’s kitchen. You know the kind, made of all natural ingredients, mixed and proofed with love, boiled to perfection and baked at the highest of temperatures on planks of wood till the crust became dark and brown. REAL BAGELS! These men searched and searched until they came to the realization that the only way they were going to recapture those delicious, mouth watering Artisan gems was to create them themselves. This marked the birth of the Davidovich Bagel. For years New Yorkers enjoyed these delicious traditional bagels without ever even knowing the name of the Artisans who produced them. Then the word started to spread. People around NYC, around the United States, and all around the world started to talk about these unique, throwbacks to the original days of bagel making, the Davidovich Bagel.
